Adam Davis, MA, MPH
Director of Clinical Grants and Program Development
Adam’s background is in public health, health statistics, chronic diseases, and project management. After working as a cancer epidemiologist for several years, he worked at the American Lung Association, eventually becoming Senior Director of Lung Programs. During this time, Adam served as Executive Director of a large multi-center CDC-funded intervention program that involved UC Berkeley, Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland (CHRCO), the American Lung Association, and other organizations. He has authored or co-authored more than 15 publications related to chronic disease and has written more than 60 successful grant proposals totaling over $20 million. Adam has a diverse role in his current position at CHRCO. He is primarily involved with technical writing for all areas of the medical center, including grant proposals, reports, and IRB applications, and is also quality manager for clinical trials at the CHRCO primary care clinic. Adam’s role on CHILD is to serve as a point of contact at CHRCO and work with Silvia Bunge on strategy and administrative details. He is also available to support grant opportunities that fall under CHILD.
